HEART score: chest pain in the ED

Stratifies undifferentiated chest pain for major adverse cardiac events at 6 weeks. Low scores with negative serial troponin can go home.

What you enter

  • History: Slightly suspicious / Moderately suspicious / Highly suspicious
  • ECG: Normal / Non-specific repolarisation change / Significant ST deviation
  • Age: <45 / 45–64 / ≥65
  • Risk factors (HTN, lipids, DM, obesity, smoking, family history, atherosclerosis): None / 1–2 / ≥3 or known atherosclerotic disease
  • Troponin: ≤ upper limit of normal / 1–3× ULN / >3× ULN
