NEXUS criteria: cervical spine imaging

Blunt trauma. A patient who meets all five low-risk criteria has a very low probability of cervical spine injury. Tick any criterion that is NOT met.

  • Focal neurological deficit
  • Altered alertness
  • Intoxication
  • Painful, distracting injury
